The 4th Annual Chick-fil-A Patriots' Festival
(10am - 3pm)
The Chick-fil-A Patriots' festival is a city-wide celebration of our local fire, military, EMS & police hometown heroes. It features a FREE community festival with free Kids Zone, live music, patriotic ceremony and hero demonstrations including Flight for Life Helicopter Landing.
The Chick-fil-A Walk, Run & Ride for Heroes (Registration opens 6:30am)
The Walk, Run & Ride for Heroes kicks off our Patriots' Day Festival. Participants are highly encouraged to wear their red, white and blue as part of a community-wide show of support for our hometown heroes in the police, fire, EMS and military. Prizes are awarded for the most patriotic dressed individuals, teams, best team theme and largest team.
The Ride for Heroes presented by Penrose St. Francis Health Care features three rides:
The Heroes Challenge 28-Mile Ride (7:30 start)
Travels through the scenic Garden of the Gods along Monument Valley Creek to Blodgett Peak Open Space and up Flying W Ranch Road with 1,600 feet of elevation gain.
The Patriots Ride 14-mile (8:30am start) This family-friendly paved trail ride along the Sinton Trail and Monument Valley Creek.
The Kids Patriotic Bicycle Parade (10am start) around the Park presented by Kids on Bikes. Registration is free. Free t-shirts by Simply Kids Dental to first 100 to register.
The Run for Heroes presented by Levens Family Dentistry (9am start) The Hometown Hero 5k is an up and back along Flying W Ranch Road.
The Walk for Heroes: Majestic Mile presented by Saddletree Homes (9:30am start) The Walk for Heroes travels along Flying W Ranch Road and through the newly rebuilt Majestic neighborhood.
Money raised through sponsorships and ride, run and walk registrations will benefit the Home Front Cares, the National EMS Memorial Service, the Peace Officers Memorial, the Firefighters Foundation and the Angels of America's Fallen.
