10 Things Small Business Owners Should
Know About Internet (Cyber) Security

Whether you think your business is too small to be a target, or simply think you don’t have the budget for a good security policy, there are steps you can take which - at little or no cost - can mitigate the threats to your business and personal information. Each day we hear more about credit card numbers being stolen, businesses getting hacked, and secrets being stolen from major corporations and our government.

You'll learn about threats facing small businesses and the preventative measures you can take to protect yourself in a cost effective way. Donna takes this very technical topic, removes the Geek-Speak, and translates it into plain English for everyone to understand. You'll come away with an actionable plan that you can put into place to ensure that your business and personal information are secure.

You'll also have a chance to visit the District 11 Boardroom, meet Public Information Officer Devra Ashby and hear from Assistant Superintendent / CIO Robert Curran, who will brief us about how the district protects its students, faculty and data. In all, we have a great program in store, so join us for a light lunch and some great information.
