
LYNNE TELFORD

CARE AND SHARE FOOD BANK FOR SOUTHERN COLORADO
From a successful career in corporate finance, Lynne Telford is now the President and CEO of Care and Share Food Bank, a role she finds fulfilling and gratifying. She is a visionary and strong leader who is dedicated to the mission of ending hunger in southern Colorado.
?I am honored to serve the people of southern Colorado by leading the effort to champion hunger issues and find a solution,? she says.
Lynne has been serving the community through her nonprofit work for more than15 years. In addition to her position at Care and Share, she has been a Vice President at Pikes Peak United Way and Executive Director of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence. Lynne volunteers on various boards, committees, and commissions, including the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC. She speaks on a variety of topics, including leadership, philanthropy, and hunger issues.
Lynne also has more than twenty years of for-profit business experience, beginning her career as a CPA. Her corporate career includes Controller at Atmel, World-wide Controller at ES2, and Vice President of Finance at VSL Corporation.
Lynne is an alumnus of the Colorado Springs Leadership Institute (2005), Leadership Pikes Peak (2003), and the Community Leaders Program (2002). In 2004, she received the Woman of Influence award in Colorado Springs. She received the Community Influence Award in 2010. In 2013, she earned the distinction of Business Leader of the Year from the Southern Colorado Women?s Chamber of Commerce and she was one of the Women of Distinction in 2014. She is honored to be the 2015 Athena winner.
