Dr. James R. Van Scotter II
Ph.D., Associate Professor of Strategy at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs
His research and teaching focuses on competitive strategy, strategic leadership, top executive traits, and strategic analysis for firm performance optimization. He has published research in Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Vocational Behavior, International Journal of Human Resources Management, Management Review Quarterly, and other outlets. He has taught courses and seminars on Strategy, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Structure and Design, Business Ethics, Teamwork Processes, Leadership, and Research Methods. He is currently developing a Space Cyber Enterprise MBA emphasis to prepare the Space and Cyber business leaders of the future. James is a veteran of the US Air Force, fulltime single parent, and zealous advocate for creating intentional organizational cultures that treat all people with dignity, kindness, and hospitality.
