City connects businesses with contracting opportunities at Procurement Vendor Fair
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Businesses interested in doing business with the City of Colorado Springs can connect directly with City buyers, learn about upcoming contracting opportunities and better understand how to compete for City work at the 2026 Procurement Vendor Fair on Friday, Aug. 14.
City departments will have tables where businesses can meet procurement representatives and subject matter experts, introduce their products and services, ask questions and discuss upcoming projects and purchasing needs. The event is designed to give businesses of all sizes greater insight into potential opportunities and the City’s procurement process.
“The City purchases a wide range of goods and services to support departments across the organization, and we want businesses of all sizes to understand the opportunities available to them,” said Amanda Adams, the City’s Procurement Services Manager. “The Vendor Fair gives businesses direct access to City staff, a chance to learn about upcoming needs and a better understanding of how to prepare to compete for City contracts.”
Whether a business is exploring City contracting for the first time or has previously competed for City work, attendees can:
· Learn about upcoming City projects and open solicitations.
· Connect directly with City buyers and department representatives.
· Introduce their business, products and services to City staff.
· Ask questions about procurement and contracting processes.
· Learn how to prepare for and respond to future City solicitations.
Procurement Services supports purchasing across City departments and works to ensure the City’s contracting process is fair, transparent and competitive. Events such as the Vendor Fair also provide businesses an opportunity to build relationships and understand City needs before future solicitations are released.
