Exhibition Opening of Breast Cancer: The Courageous & Beautiful
Artists coming together for the cure!
Breast cancer knows no racial, ethnic, age, or gender boundaries. The National Cancer Institute estimates that more than 232,300 women and 2,240 men in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. Almost 40,000 women and over 400 men will die from it. Everyone has a loved one who is struggling—or has struggled—with this terrible disease. The Bridge Gallery is partnering with Susan G. Komen of Southeastern Colorado to host Breast Cancer: The Courageous & Beautiful. This exhibit will portray the personal journeys and courage of those who have confronted breast cancer - a visual representation of breast cancer as a journey from diagnosis, to treatment and beyond. Breast Cancer: The Courageous & Beautiful will open Friday, October 4, 2013 at The Bridge Gallery in downtown Colorado Springs.
