DESCRIPTION:Soir e will vibrate to the rhythms of Afro-Brazilian jazz presented by FluteDaddy with guest artist\, Latin jazz ambassador Dennis Bueno!\n\n\n\nDennis will lead the FluteDaddy house band in a program of contemporary and traditional Latin Jazz at the first Friday Jazz Soir e. Dennis\, a Latin jazz icon in Colorado\, will also play drums\, bongos and conga.\n\n\n\n"Latin Jazz is more than simply music from Latin America\," says Joseph. "The music is based on complex combinations of rhythms from Africa\, Brazil\, and Cuba\, played in a jazz style with improvised solos adding to the excitement. Party-goers will hear and feel songs in Bossa Nova\, Charanga\, Cha Cha\, Samba and other rhythms."\n\n\n\nEach month we present a unique jazz program and different musicians. For June\, trumpeter Marcel Marchetti\, pianist Brad Bietry\, and vocalist Stephanie Hancock join bassist Marc Neihof and flutist Joseph Liberti in the house band with guest artist Dennis Bueno.\n\n\n\nThe Jazz Soir e a first Friday event\, is a place and time to meet friends\, gaze upon the art\, sip unique wines and enjoy a presentation of contemporary jazz in an intimate listening space. Owner Michaela Hightower is conjuring up some special Latin beverages for this event and original large scale paintings by Alexis Elza grace the walls.
