What if your next great idea is already within reach?
Inside the Box: A Proven System of Creativity for Breakthrough Results by Drew Boyd and Jacob Goldenberg explores how working with familiar resources and clear constraints can spark fresh thinking.
SCWCC Read & Lead offers an interactive evening to consider how these ideas might apply to your business, leadership and everyday challenges.
After 15 minutes of open networking, we’ll move into a facilitated group discussion exploring:
• Seeing familiar challenges differently: Where might we be overlooking an opportunity?
• Working with constraints: How could a limitation help focus our thinking?
• Rethinking what we already have: What could we remove, combine or adapt?
• Making room for ideas: How can leaders encourage experimentation?
• Taking the next step: What small change could you try in your own work?

You do not need to have finished the book to participate, although it helps. Come ready to connect, reflect and share. Attendees are responsible for obtaining and bringing their own copy of the book. Check Pikes Peak Library District, Poor Richard’s or your favorite bookstore for availability. Space is limited to keep the conversation intimate and meaningful.


FACILITATOR BIO

Dr. Charity Peak is the owner and college advisor at Class 101 Colorado Springs. She brings more than 25 years of instructional design and teaching experience spanning Pre-K through graduate school. Throughout her career, she has led student-success and faculty-development programs and advised hundreds of students as they identified and pursued their individual paths to success.

Before joining Class 101, Dr. Peak served as academic director for the Association of College and University Educators, where she designed and implemented programs to improve student success through exceptional teaching. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and has served as an academic advisor and faculty member at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Regis University and the University of Colorado.
